I recently came across that interpretation of Beauty and the Beast too. I had never thought of it that way before. I've come to the conclusion that even though there are movies, shows, etc that can (or will) be misinterpreted shouldn't be sheltered from my daughter. She'll probably hear about that stuff later on, so her parents might as well be the people who discuss difficult topics with her.

It's worse than that. Although many of these people pay no income tax, most of them face, in effect, marginal tax rates approaching or even exceeding 100%, because as their incomes increase they lose benefits. So we have a system that encourages a „someone else will pay for it“ mindset combined with the bad incentives created by high marginal rates. Well done Congress.

I’m definitely getting this book. Two things that I really loved in this article were the fact that Ronnie affirmed that faith is not a work (to miss that is to miss the message of the book Romans) and I love how he connects John 6:44 and John 12:32.

Good luck with the Novel. I wrote a PhD thesis once and always had this dream that a Novel would be easier and more fun than that but now I am not so sure! Maybe one day!

That’s what the media thinks. Who cares about the minority girl, she’s not gonna grow up to anything anyway, but the White girl must be saved because, well, she’s White and that’s that.
